We guess, everyone is aware of the situation that has arisen over the Internet around Flash and recently launched HTML 5. We are not going to make predictions or discuss the advantages and drawbacks of the functionality based on these two technologies or even argue with the followers of this or that point of view. But this controversy simply made us to look deeper into different types and kinds of Flash website design. We did a research during which we came to conclusion that Flash is still in huge demand among users. And therefore today we want to concentrate your attention on the winning examples of Business website design.
Is Flash suitable for Business websites creation? Or are you still convinced that we should keep to the beaten track and create static corporate websites?
Well, let’s analyze the main requirements of Business websites.
- Clean, well-designed page layouts, not “graphics heavy”, not gaudy or in-your-face.
- Good navigation design (including drop down navigation menu). To provide users with excellent navigation is by far the most important task, but not an easy one.
- Clean photos and site graphics, optimized to the smallest possible file size for quick loading.
- Availability of the contact form, pop-up windows and other convenient extras that enrich user’s experience.
How many of those cannot be realized if a site is made entirely in Flash? Zero. That’s right. So, lean back in your chair and enjoy the collection of business Flash website designs!

Flash is probably the most fertile ground for web designer to realize his most unbelievable fantasies. No other platform can treat users to such variety of animation, images, videos and sound effects. As a consequence, Flash requires pretty much time to load and users have to show a good bunch of patience to enter a Flash website. But how to make a visitor spend their time and patience with no regret and even with pleasure? “No regret” objective can be achieved by creating a breathtaking Flash design and site’s content the visitor will see after the site is loaded. Quality preloader can help in solving the “pleasure” task. The main purpose of the website preloader is to inform visitors how much time the website needs to be loaded. However, you can make simple preloader work as a spicy feature of site’s content. This will catch visitor’s attention right at the preloading stage and provide their longer stay on the website.
In this post you will find a collection of most creative Flash preloaders picked by FlashMoto and also some information about preloaders generating. We hope it will be useful for your Flash projects. While viewing our collection please notice that depending on the connection preloaders may quickly disappear (you’d better decide whether it’s a disadvantage or not after looking through the following collection!

Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen announced last week that Adobe and Apple are working together on bringing Flash to the iPhone.
For a long time Adobe and Apple couldn’t reach mutual understanding on this point. Because Apple had several good reasons to prevent Flash on the iPhone. First, it would break their consistent UI experience. Second, it could pose a threat to the iTunes distribution model and the low specs of the phone itself. The decision of Apple CEO Steve Jobs was primarily based on the fact that Flash Lite, an earlier developed engine for mobile and electronics devices, wasn’t good enough and worked too slow on the iPhone.
I just want to make a small digression and tell a few words about the contest. The 25-Line ActionScript Content is carried each month starting from November – December 2008. Its idea is rather simple: the entrants must create whatever they want in 25 lines of code. No library assets, nothing loaded in. Just code.
I won’t get into details, because everything you might want to know about the contest rules and submission terms, you may read here
The contest is sponsored by Adobe Systems Inc. The winner is granted with a free copy of an Adobe CS4 Suite.
So, the winner of the January 25 Lines ActionScript Contest was announced yesterday. Congratulations to Thomas Kräftner for winning the contest with his entry Baroque (entry #30). He created a whimsical composition of lines that changes while you scroll. In 25 lines of code!

As, it was mentioned above, Thomas won an Adobe CS4 suite, provided by Lee Brimelow at Adobe.
